About the “The Economy" bulletin

The "Economy" bulletin is a quarterly economic awareness and news publication issued by the Saudi Economic Association (SEA). The first issue was published on March 15, 1990, based on a recommendation from the Research and Scientific Committee of SEA in November 8, 1989. Its first editor-in-chief was Dr. Nasser Ibrahim Alkaud, who later became Chairman of the Association's Board of Directors during its third and fourth terms.

It is also noteworthy that the first issue of the Economy bulletin coincided with the 4^th Scientific Conference of the Saudi Economic Association, held in March 1990 at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. This marked the first time the Association organized its scientific conferences outside Riyadh.

To be an effective link between members of the Saudi Economic Association, economics specialists, and all those interested in Saudi economic affairs.

Goals

1.Publishing news and activities of the Saudi Economic Association to support its objective of promoting scientific thoughts in the field of economics.

2.Enhancing communications among members of the Saudi Economic Association and disseminating their scientific and professional news.

3.Improving communication with economics departments in Saudi universities and disseminating their scientific, research, and academic news.

4.Publishing the scientific contributions of the Association’s members and other economists while encouraging the exchange of new ideas among them.

5.Offering a reputable platform for the publication of short economic articles and op-eds in both Arabic and English.

6.Highlighting recent books, research papers, and economic reports.
